Industrial Buildings
PROET S.A. has built, during its long and active presence in the construction industry, a large number of industrial buildings with load-bearing frameworks made of prefabricated elements in reinforced or prestressed concrete, such as:
- Tall columns up to 20m.
- Composite-sections of Beams and Trusses spanning up to 30m, tensioned on a prestressing bed.
- Wide-span ribbed slabs (T-shaped beams).
- Predalles with protruding lattice reinforcement (girders).
- Crane beams, beams, gutters, T-shaped purlins.
- Wall Panels with embedded middle layer of thermal insulation.
- Footing cones.
PROET S.A. Industrial Buildings present substantial advantages:
- Increased earthquake resistance and resistance to heavy snow and wind loads.
- Full compliance to Fire Safety and Thermal Insulation Regulations without any additional special painting or plastering.
- Capacity for carrying large loads, such as live floor loads and crane bridge loads.
- Ability to achieve great lengths in beams and trusses, large spans between columns, as well as great building height and floor count.
- High resistance to impacts.
- Practically maintenance-free.
Alternatively, the construction of an industrial building made entirely of prefabricated concrete elements can be modified by using sandwich insulating panels made of steel sheeting for roofing and/or for cladding. Thus the overall cost is lowered with no effect to the advantages listed above.
